It was the first time that I had visited Peiking University. In the air lingered the faint scent of China roses. Luckily, as the first award-winner from Wuhan University, I won the first prize of the Tang Xiaoyan Environmental Science Scholarship.

The Tang Xiaoyan Environmental Science Scholarship is set up by the students of the academician Tang, in acknowledgement of her outstanding contribution to environmental science and talent fostering. Open for the nationwide undergraduates and graduates whose major is related to environment, this scholarship aims to encourage the young to devote themselves to the environmental research. All the winners attended the academic exchange held by the College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering. During the award ceremony, the academician Tang addressed the value of innovation and encouraged us to keep the passion for science.

With graduation on the horizon, I would like to appreciate Prof. Xiao’s guide and help. Wish our group a brighter future.
