/ July 31, 2018/ News

The 1st Chinese Symposium on Photocatalytic Materials (CSPM) was held at Wuhan University of Technology from July 26 to 29, with a theme of “Energy and Environmental Photocatalytic Materials”.

The conference was co-sponsored by Wuhan University of Technology, Fuzhou University and Xuchang College, and was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation. Professor Jiaguo Yu from Wuhan University of Technology and Professor Zhaohui Li from Fuzhou University were the chairmen of the organizing committee. Academicians Xianzhi Fu, Jincai Zhao and Zhigang Zou were invited as honorary chairmen of the organizing committee.

All participants agreed that the conference provided a high-level platform for the exchange of work results in the field of photocatalysis, where more than 200 experts and scholars shared their outstanding research results in the form of reports or posters. The main topics include the following aspects:

  • Basic research on photocatalytic materials.
  • Doping and energy band control of photocatalytic materials.
  • Morphology and crystal face control of photocatalytic materials.
  • Synthesis strategies for photocatalytic materials.
  • First-Principles studies on photocatalytic materials.
  • Environmental applications of photocatalytic materials.
  • Photocatalytic hydrogen evolution from water.
  • Photocatalytic reduction of CO2 to solar fuel.
  • Photoelectrochemistry.
  • Dye-sensitized solar cell and perovskite solar cell.
  • Other related research.

It is worth noting that Professor Chuanyi Wang from Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, Professor Junying Zhang from Beihang University and Lihua Lin from Fuzhou University introduced the application of molten salt synthesis in the preparation of photocatalytic materials, which is of great reference value to our future research.
